What is Home Staging?
Staging is the process of preparing a home for sale with the goal of getting the most money in the shortest amount of time possible. The objective of home staging is to present your house in the best possible light, and to make it stand out from the rest. The first thing a potential buyer looks for in a home is a warm, roomy and welcoming space. Although not every home is open and spacious, by simply clearing out the clutter and neutralizing the decor, I can make your home appear much larger and more appealing to any buyer.
Everyone who walks through your home is looking to see how his or her own furniture, artwork and collections will fit in the space. A clean, neutral, clutter-free home with simple but elegant décor will allow them to picture themselves and their family living in and loving the space!
In addition to selling faster and at a higher price, a staged home typically sells better regardless of the state of the real estate market.

De-Cluttering
"Clutter eats equity!” The longer you live in a home the more cluttered it becomes. You are about to move anyway, so I’ll help you get a head start by showing you which items to pack up and store out of sight. A good, thorough cleaning is also a must to make your home sparkle!
Neutralizing
It is difficult for buyers to envision themselves living in your home if they can’t picture their own belongings fitting in to the surroundings. I will neutralize your home’s décor to give it the broadest possible appeal. Then, I will remove most personal items including family photos, collections, and anything else that might reflect too much of your own personal taste. Doing this will help buyers mentally move in to your home.
Staging®
Here’s where the fun begins! I may re-arrange your furniture or artwork, change your bedding or window coverings, add an area rug here or a simple vase there, and top it all off with beautiful flowers, fresh fruit and candles – whatever it takes to make your house show like a model home. Decide to stage the entire home or selected rooms. Stage using rented furniture and accessories or using your own.
Consultation
For a flat-fee, I will tour your home and give you a written room-by-room Home Staging® Report, which includes detailed recommendations of all the things I feel you should do in order to get the quickest sale and the best possible price for your property. With this list, you can immediately begin doing the work yourself or hiring the painters, cleaners, packers and/or handymen you need to get it done and get your house on the market! Call for prices!
Staging® Services
Should you prefer that I use my expertise to Stage® your home myself, I will tour the property and provide you with a flat-rate bid for my creative services as well as a price list for any necessary rental, personal shopping and/or accessory purchase fees.
Once you accept my bid and hire me to Stage® your home, I will provide you with a written list of any cosmetic repairs I recommend you do before I begin my work. This list might include packing, cleaning the carpets, patching and painting the walls, and giving the house a good thorough cleaning. Once these basic tasks are completed I will go to work Staging® your home.
The price for my services varies depending on the size and condition of your home. Call for a quote.
